The Kingdom of Denmark is placed 56:00 N and 10:00 E (app.) in Northern Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea and the North Sea acording to the CIA . Our present monark is Her Majesty the Queen - Margrethe II

According to the legend our flag (as shown here) fall from Heaven in a battle in Estonia the year 1219 by divine intervention. As we were a godfearing people at that time, we brought our own Bishop with us to the battle. He was so godfearing, that every time he lifted his hands in prayer the danes were winning. Whenever he lowered his arm because of fatigue, the danes were loosing. Well that was too bad. The danes therefore got two warriors to hold his hands up in prayer - you know in love and war all tricks apply - but they got tired as well while the battle raged. So finally they have to give up as well and slowly the arms and hands lowered - but behold! When it look dark and grim a divine signal was sent from Heaven - a red and white flag and the danes won the battle. Since that our flag have looked like the above.
